FAQ´S

How much will it cost?

All cakes vary in cost, by design and size, please email me for a quote. Please include the date the cake is needed, and the number of people it´s for the design or theme and the type of cake, vanilla sponge, chocolate or fruit cake.. For weddings, please also include, the name of your wedding co ordinator if you have one, the venue and time of your wedding reception.

When Do I need to Order?

This depends on the time of year, a minimum of 3 days for sponge cakes and 1 month rich fruit cake, but 3 months is better to give the cake time to mature.

However dates can become fully booked during May to September, so early booking is advised.

Do I need a deposit?

A 50% deposit is required on all wedding cake order, to secure the date, the balance due 1 month before the wedding date, your order can´t be confirmed until a deposit is received.

A deposit is also required for Birthday Cake orders over 100 Euros, the balance due on collection, or on delivery.

Can we send Cakes Overseas?

Sorry, but these cakes are not suitable for delivery by post and are orders are only avalable for the Island of Mallorca.

INGREDIENTS

Image of hands holding lemonsFresh Local Ingredients are used whenever possible, such as eggs and lemons, however other ingredients such as limes may be imported if local produce is not readily available. Other ingredients such as dried fruit, flour and sugar may be imported. Sugarflair paste colours are used, these are Fat Free, Nut Free, Gluten Free, GM Free.

Sugarpaste

This is a pliable soft heaving icing ideal for covering medium to heavy weight sponge cakes and rich fruit cakes, its unsuitable for light weight sponge. It helps fully enrobed cakes to stay moist for longer. It can tinted to almost any colour from ivory to black.

Flower Paste

This is a fine hard setting paste, used for making hand made sugar flowers and some intricate details.

Royal Icing

A fine hard setting icing, used for decorative piping and covering rich fruit cake. It may be tinted to a degree, but is unsuitable for very strong colours, as this can change its consistency.

Fondant Icing

This is a soft icing used for cupcakes, which can also be used for piping.

Marzipan

This is a soft paste made from ground almonds and sugar, used to cover rich fruit cakes before covering with sugarpaste or Royal Icing.
